IJAR Young Researcher Award

Thanks to the continued support of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, ISIPTA again announces the IJAR Young Researcher Award for this conference edition, consisting of a certificate and 1000 euros.

The prize will be decided by a jury consisting of: Denis Maua, Ignacio Montes and Alessio Benavoli.

Conditions to apply

  • The award is open to Master students, PhD students, and young post-doc researchers who received their PhD between the previous ISIPTA and the current one (that is, after 6 July 2019). The career stage will be taken into account during judgement.
  • Applicants should have a paper or poster (1-page abstract) accepted at ISIPTA'2021, not necessarily as first author, and attend the conference.
  • Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in research on imprecise probabilities.

How to apply

  • Applications should be done using Easychair (IJAR Young Researcher Award Track).
  • In the application, applicants should submit a curriculum vitae specifying their IP-related scientific contributions, a research statement, and up to two research papers they consider representative of their trajectory.
  • Deadline: June 1st. 2021

Best Poster Award

A jury consisting of Erik Quaeghebeur, Ruobin Gong and Arthur Van Camp will make a selection of best poster presentations. They will take into account both quality of design and quality of the explanations, as well as the votes of the participants. The award is open to everyone presenting a poster. This also includes paper authors, provided of course that they present a poster on a discussion session.

All winners will receive a certificate and a book related to (imprecise) probabilities.
